EMOTIONAL & PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT

PSYCHOTHERAPY (ARIZONA RESIDENTS ONLY)

There may be psychological and emotional factors that prevent you from reaching your fitness goals and aligning with God’s design. Many have comforted themselves with food, specifically high fat/sugar carbohydrates, throughout their lives. Refined sugar, for example, has a powerful effect on the pleasure centers in  the brain that produce temporary euphoria. If we struggle with depression and anxiety, sometimes food is the only thing that brings comfort.  Sometimes we crave the feeling of being full, to distract us from our internal emptiness. No matter how motivated we are, eventually, the need for comfort trumps the desire to make healthy food choices. The ensuing frustration brings self condemnation and discouragement that provoke us to eat more.

If there has been sexual abuse/violation/trauma in our past, sometimes we want to maintain a layer of fat around our bodies, for protection, hoping that we will not be noticed or seen as a sexual being. We seek safety in this way. 

All of these situations require deep emotional and spiritual healing. If not, their existence will sabotage the progress that you are able to make in this program. We will explore the roots of these issues and free you to be the person that you have desired to be all of your life.

Organization, goal setting and planning for success are just a part of this program which looks at how you can release old thoughts of failure and replace them with a Holy Father’s plans for your life to come!
